"Convertibles" refers to convertible notebooks, which are notebook PCs that have keyboards that can either flip, spin, or twist, but unlike detachable tablets, convertible notebook keyboards are hardwired to the display.

미국의 시장 조사 기관 IDC가 2017년 3분기 전세계 태블릿 시장 보고서를 발표했습니다. 3분기 전체 태블릿 출하 규모는 4천만대 규모로 전년 대비 5.4% 감소하며 1분기와 2분기에 이어 예상대로 역성장을 계속 이어가고 있습니다.
내리막 시장속의 1위 애플은 전년 대비 11.4% 증가한 1030만대를 출하했고, 2위 삼성은 전년 대비 7.9% 감소한 600만대, 3위 아마존은 전년 대비 38.7% 증가한 440만대, 4위 화웨이는 전년 대비 18.8% 증가한 300만대, 공동 4위 레노버는 전년 대비 8.9% 증가한 300만대를 기록했습니다. 기타(OTHERS)는 전년 대비 -26.3% 큰 폭으로 역성장하며 1330만대를 기록했습니다.
결과적으로 상위 브랜드 업체 중 유일하게 역성장한 삼성전자와 큰 폭의 역성장을 기록한 기타 업체(화이트 박스 등 저렴한 태블릿)가 전세계 태블릿 시장의 역성장을 이끌었습니다.
